GitNit Right’s Fairy Godmother Project of Northern Colorado “grants the wishes” of disadvantaged teens seeking to fit in by being smarter, more attractive and more popular.*

We’re starting to fund the project and provide special occasion attire by collecting recycled formal wear, in boxes donated by Exodus Moving and Storage, from about 20 different locations in Northern Colorado. PromWear will be cleaned by Burke Dry Cleaners and “sold” to area students at the Outlets at Loveland for a donation of any size. Students in need will have a VIP Reception two hours before the GitNit Right PromWear Party opens to the public. In addition, female VIPs will have the option of participating in the Primp for Prom Party to have their hair, make up and nails done on the day of prom, Saturday, May 2. Our goal, during this first year, is to provide formal wear and primping for economically disadvantaged kids in the Thompson Valley School District.

In order to create a “cool” event and minimize the stigma of getting “used” clothes for prom, we’re promoting the Fairy Godmother Project as a “Green” initiative!
